ELDAD RONEN - INDEPENDENT REPAIRER
As an Independent Repairer specialising in servicing and repairs to various European and Japanese makes and models, Eldad Ronen is passionate about providing the best service to his clients. His interests and love for motor cars are something he takes pride in and enjoys immensely.
Commencing his apprenticeship in December 1987 with Safer Brakes Auto Services, he completed his apprenticeship in light vehicles and went on to work in various prestige garages in Sydney, Australia.
After spending some time with Hahn Automotive and two and a half years with John Newell Mazda, he moved on to work for City Auto Mobiles, a Jaguar dealer for over 12 years, attending factory training and courses to become certified through their Masters Program.
In 2004, he joined BMW Sydney. A renowned BMW and Mini factory dealer has been working there for 11.5 years. He also attended courses and factory training to obtain diagnostic technical certification. He became involved in different positions and roles, developing skills and knowledge in the automotive field.
Apart from the service, repair, and technical side, he was also a part of a dedicated team preparing cars for magazine test drive days and product launches as requested. After 11 years, it was time to move on, and the next 9 months were spent with Mercedes of Sydney in Alexandria, again attending courses and factory training on the latest models and updates for both petrol and diesel vehicles.
On 17th June 2015, Eldad migrated to New Zealand from Australia and established himself by opening up Rotorua Motor Works, located at 9 Karaka Street, Koutu, Rotorua 3010. Then in 2017, we relocated to our new premises at 343 OLD TAUPO RD SPRINGFIELD, ROTORUA.
As a young kid doing my apprenticeship, I had always dreamed and wanted to have my own garage. This has also given me the opportunity to give back to the local community. My team and I are currently working very closely with the Jacob Willemsen Trust Programs, running short courses to support the local community. Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoy restoring classic cars (I am the very proud owner of a 1957 Chevrolet), music, nature, and most of all, spending time with family and close friends.
